So I have a Reddit account still because I frequently come across posts that I want to say stuff in, and my local community c/Saskatchewan has not really embraced the boycott US as much as I wish it had but today I was talking with my grandmother when a notification popped up on my screen saying Reddit wanted my eyes on their ads, it was actually someone replying to a comment but what is the difference? I thought about it and decided that it was time for me to turn off Reddit notifications, and man did it feel good doing it!

Do you not just love those bans? The first time I was banned I should have realized that it was just a ploy to make me jones to use it. I should have started looking for something better then and there and welcomed people onto Lemmy when the migration started.

My last ban was something to do with talking about Trans healthcare in Canada, something I know a thing or two about, and some Cis person getting mad that I was discussing it.

Yes - Reddit addiction is real - I was more “miffed” about missing my daily usage streak than the ban originally… but, have decided that after 15-years, am going to close that account (after using some tool to delete all posts/comments) and open a couple different, “slightly more” anonymous ones where I wouldn’t care if I got banned.
