Of course millions of Americans know. It’s in the news, a little. It’s on social media.

The hypocrisy is one significant factor, but more importantly are the values that many wealthy Democrats lack.

There is no general duty to maximize profits. The original court cases are far more nuanced than that. Much is up to the discretion of the company, because of course it is.
fodor@lemmy.zipto News@lemmy.world•Almost 90% Of Americans Are Worried About The Cost Of Groceries51·1 day agoThat’s a blatant deflection, though. We’re talking about relative food prices… If food prices go up at the same rate as wages, grocery prices wouldn’t be an issue for working Americans.
There are also issues with inflation in general, but that’s not the topic here.

Might as well go for it, at least the lawyers will make some cash.
fodor@lemmy.zipto News@lemmy.world•Brutal arrest of Black student in Florida shows benefits of recording police from new vantage point6·1 day agoExcept that cops are stupid. Most of them don’t delete video evidence most of the time. And destroying the camera itself produces evidence that can and will be used against them. And there’s no excuse for taking one out of the car. They are also recording already, and can be quickly voice activated. So dash cams are not minimal.
You should also record on your phone.
Of course dirty cops could do tons of bad things, but the more complicated the cover-up is, the more likely that they get caught.

If the economy is rich people’s yachts, nobody who matters cares. After reading the article, that’s what it sounded like, according to the author.
Maybe one of these days we can let the big corporations go bankrupt after they fuck it all up. Please? Or better yet, make their CEOs financially liable. Why not both?

It is intentionally neglected. Don’t think for a second M$ doesn’t know what’s going on. They love it. Give a big fuck you to the trouble causers, to hell with them.
Is your premise even correct? I don’t have any data indicating that leftists are anti-AI. Do you?
Also, I’m not sure what you mean by anti-AI. Pointing out that it is snake oil is a factual claim. In other words, if AI is a label that’s mostly devoid of meaning, then attacking it is actually attacking the sleazy opportunistic salespeople, and not necessarily the underlying tech (when it is clearly defined, which is rare). Of course one could oppose both.
Which is to say, many leftists are anti-billionaire, and many billionaires are riding the AI bubble. But you already know that, so probably that’s not what you’re asking.
You mean when. When is the question.

University. The expensive college wanted IT staff but only paid minimum wage and only hired people on financial aid.
This is basically common knowledge. It’s in dozens of mainstream international media outlets and has been all over social media.
My guess is that you consume a narrow selection of news media. So, think broader!
