The most annoying thing about being famous is having to tell everyone how famous you are.

He is a right wing nut job. His opinion on anything holds little weight.

Maven (famous)@lemmy.zipto Ask Me Anything@lemmy.ca•I'm on a 2 week vacation in rural South Korea AMA1·1 day agoFor the last year-ish I’ve been getting really into watching weird K-Dramas. Do you have any recommendations?
“fuck you” is more aggressive which (imo) doesn’t fit the rest of the song as well. That mixed with the fact that “forget” has an extra syllable and flows better with the music makes that version both more optimistic in nature as well as generally sonically sounding better.
“Fuck you” comes across as vengeful and angry while “forget you” comes across as “I can do so much better that you aren’t even worth my time”
Ultimately I find the second far more compelling
“Forget you” is the better version by far

It’s basically the equivalent of “googles” but for a different search engine.
The first one was much better and a lot more fun imo. They’re both b-movies for sure but the first one felt more like everyone involved was trying while the second felt more money grab.
The general vibes of it all definitely changed the viewing experience when watching both of them.

Maven (famous)@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What would happen if the eugenesists had their way?7·12 days agoYou claimed that they claim intelligence and morality were tethered somehow. I was wondering where that was said. I didn’t see that anywhere in the original message so I think I either misunderstood something or missed a different message.
I was wondering if you could show them saying that intelligence and morality were related to each other.
This isn’t an argument being made, I’m just curious where it was said as I can’t find it.
Maven (famous)@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What would happen if the eugenesists had their way?7·12 days agoSorry, I meant examples where they said that the two are linked. The example you gave was the opposite.
Apologies if I phrased it poorly.
Maven (famous)@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What would happen if the eugenesists had their way?10·12 days agoBut you’re the one that said they aren’t untethered. They didn’t mention anything about that…
Could you please share the quote where there was a contradiction? I’d be interested to see where they said that intelligence and morality are linked
It’s gaining popularity again right now because of the Chatbot Grok who has been using it.
The Nazi part is that the pattern seen is how “Jews are always in charge when something bad happens” or when grok said that it could tell someone was evil because they had a Jewish sounding last name and it was able to pick up on the pattern.
“The pattern” is just an obfuscation of classic neo-nazi talking points and is kinda like the Nazi version of “just asking questions” where something that seems entirely innocent on its face has a hidden, much darker, meaning underneath it if you look into it literally at all.
Seeing a pattern on its own is fine. The reason the meme turns into a racist dog whistle is the fact that the person was banned for it.
Something innocent like amogus (which is most commonly used in the meme) doesn’t result in a community ban.
“seeing patterns” is a dog whistle for hating Jewish people.

It’s also worth noting that the HR director is also married to someone that isn’t him.

Idk if I would say it was never noticed… The original trilogy is basically just an analog for the Vietnam war with the US being the bad guys.
