Pete Buttigieg is an opportunist, not a sympathizer. He will turn heel and throw whatever marginalized group under the bus at the most convenient opportunity.

Fuck this guy, he also worked on price fixing bread in the past.

Well Pete, do you want to consider the opinion of homophobes who are worried about people like you in their changing rooms?

    No? Because they’re homophobic?

I wonder what that makes you, kettle.

Dems are the controlled opposition. They don’t give a fuck who you vote for as long as they keep making money. They’re cool with fascism because that makes them more money than actually working to make things equal for everyone. Liberals are not leftists, they’re moderate republicans.

They want the center to vote for them. The problem is the center is disappearing faster and faster. So their strategy of playing it super safe is working less and less.

The problem is that the actual center is increasingly far to the left of the Democrat party establishment, which has been chasing the mythical centrist vote to the right for so long that they are now where the Republicans were a generation ago.

As Judith Butler said: “Once you decide that a single vulnerable minority can be sacrificed, you are operating within a Fascist mindset”

As someone who seethed at leftists who fucked over Kamala and either didn’t vote or voted for the fat fascist—this shit has me damn near done with the Democratic party. If Dems continue to move rightward, they will lose.

MMW, if Dems pick gavin or buttigieg, I’m voting third party in 2028. I sincerely, truly, wholeheartedly believe that it is worse for America in 2028 to have two fullblown conservative political parties than for Dems to lose in 2028 and MAYBE have a come to jesus moment where they realize that, regardless of bullshit noise online, the People want leftist policies (like healthcare for all, vaccines, free school lunch, affordable rent).

Fuck buttigieg. The LGBTQ community is a community — NO FUCKING LGB WITHOUT THE FUCK T. PERIODT.

A lot of people want the US to resist fascism, but this kind of thinking might be the reason fascism will win in the end.

If you can’t put aside your differences to fight a common enemy, you’ll lose.

Yeah let me just put aside that that the dems apparently also want to discriminate against me. Seems like I’m lacking a political party that isn’t my enemy.

They’d have to be willing to put aside differences as well. The problem is they’re more than willing to throw their “compatriots” under the bus to get easy points for right-leaning fence sitters.

Compromise only works if everyone is willing to do it, otherwise it’s just retreat.

I agree, but there is a difference between trying to compromise with an enemy and making enemies of potential allies because you don’t 100% agree with them.

Put aside our differences by throwing a vulnerable minority community to the wolves? And pray tell, who exactly is the “common enemy”? You’re the one in engaging in fascist thinking by assuming that sacrificing minorities will somehow help you. See “Then they came for me…” poem.

I don’t see Democrats putting LGBTQ+ people in concentration camps, but I think it’s just a question of months before Republicans begin to do so.

Also, Buttigieg saying trans women might have an advantage in sports is very very far from throwing a community to the wolves, like you say.

The US is in its current state because its citizens are more focused on what divides them than on what unites them. Social media is to blame I think, creating an infinity of echo chambers where people get less and less tolerant to contrary opinions, argue less, and insult more. And while the people are fighting among themselves, the ruling class can sleep peacefully.

What unites us is easy, Luigi is the most popular man in America for a reason.

The problem is that the people calling the shots are same sort of people who Luigi Luigi’d. Actual political progress in this country would require divesting the rich and powerful of their lofty status, something the people who own this country will never accept.

If you can’t put aside your differences to fight a common enemy, you’ll lose.

You’re absolutely correct here. It’s just that Democrats and Republicans have spent the last forty years putting aside their differences to fight leftists.
