    Recipe for Swedish Chocolate Balls (No-Bake)

    Ingredients:

    • 100 g butter (softened)
    • 1 dl (about ½ cup) sugar
    • 3 dl (about 1¼ cups) rolled oats
    • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
    • 1 tsp vanilla sugar (or ½ tsp vanilla extract)
    • 2 tbsp cold coffee (or water)

    Instructions:

    1. Mix the softened butter and sugar until creamy.
    2. Add the oats, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar, and coffee. Mix thoroughly.
    3. Shape the dough into small balls.
    4. Roll the balls in pearl sugar or shredded coconut.
    5. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.

    Those look similar to, but not the same as Canadian Macaroons (not to be confused with French Macarons. “roons”)

    Coconut, Chocolate, Balls! Though often macaroons are little “heap” shapes.
